The Hub is a 2021 American animated comedy film for MTV's 40th Anniversary produced by T.J. Entertainment for Paramount Pictures. The first MTV feature film from T.J. Entertainment, it was co-written and directed by Trevor Jordan (in his directorial debut) and co-written and produced by Nicholas Pockes. The film tells the story of four students who win internships as hosts at MTV, and must work together to cover the biggest live event in the network's history.


The Hub was released on August 11, 2021 to mostly positive reviews from critics, and earned over $45 million worldwide on its $10 million budget. It was later released on JHplayer and T.Jstream on June 11, 2021, on DVD on August 10, 2021, and on Blu-ray on August 15, 2021.

Plot

A student called Brad and his pals who won internships as hosts at ViacomCbs' MTV network try to cover the biggest live event for MTV's 40th anniversary special in the network's history. Can Brad and pals Emma, Robbie and Mark cover it, or is it a fired bust for them?

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 69%, with an approval rating of 7/10 based on 82 reviews; the critical consensus states, "The directorial debut from the creator of PuffRuff School offers plenty of laughs for kids and adults."
